Admittedly, Sunday night after 10 is usually not prime dining time in Nashville. But owner Alex Burch and chef Colby Rasavong of Bad Idea are looking to change that up for the month of March, thanks to a series of chef collaborations from 10 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. Admittedly, this promotion is probably aimed more at hospitality workers after a long Sunday shift, but the general public is certainly invited to take advantage of their largesse by visiting Bad Idea at 1021 Russell St. near Five Points in East Nashville.
The guest chefs will take over the kitchen to create a special menu which will be available until supplies run out, and reservations stop at 10 p.m. at Bad Idea, so it’ll be first-come, first-served after that.
Apologies in advance for missing out on telling you about Vivek Surti’s stint as the first guest chef on March 3, but this one snuck up on me. Just go ahead and book a Sunday night dinner at Tailor and finish the evening at Bad Idea for the full experience. The balance of March features some heavy hitters on Sunday nights, so you can’t miss with whichever date(s) you choose. Here’s the lineup:
March 10: Tillman Gressitt of Fox Den Izakaya
March 17: Ryan Poli of Iggy’s
March 24: Michael Hanna of St. Vito Focacceria
Personally, that list of chefs makes me think about taking a quick 7 p.m. nap on Sunday before heading east!
