If you’re a fan of Louisiana cuisine, mark your calendar for Tuesday, Oct. 9. While I can’t exactly figure out why, I’m quite grateful that Garden & Gun magazine has organized a massive takeover of 11 Nashville restaurants for what they’re calling a Louisiana x Nashville mash-up. Never one to look a gift mudbug in the mouth, I explored the details of the event online.
It seems that the magazine has recruited a murderers row of Louisiana culinary talent to come to Nashville and infiltrate the kitchens of some of your favorite restaurants for one night. The restaurants will still be featuring their regular menus that night, but they’ll also be offering special #LouisianaxNashville menu items. All you have to do is make a reservation at one of the participating spots and enjoy the lovely creole-ization of Nashville/NOLA cuisine. Oh, and if you ‘Gram your food (because after all that is apparently the law,) they’d love it if you’d use the hashtag #LouisianaxNashville. Because that’s how we all measure success these days. #IDontGetPaidbytheClickThankGod.
The visiting chef lineup is really impressive, and you can discover more about them all at the event webpage, but trust me when I say we’ve all got some difficult decisions to make. Delicious, delicious decisions.
