I believe I speak for the entire platoon when I say we could all probably use a little more happiness around now. So I was enthused to see a note that neighborhood favorite Green Hills Grille has announced a new expanded happy hour, some aspects of which extend to the entire day.
That’s right, Green Hills Grille is now offering half-price bottles of wine whenever the front door is unlocked. For your planning purposes, those hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m.-11 p.m Friday-Saturday; and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday. But if you’re looking for a regular happy hour during more traditional hours, Green Hills Grille has launched a new extended set of specials 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. every day.
The specific deals are varied and noteworthy, ranging from discounted signature cocktails, beer and wine to special pricing on salads and small bites. Specifically, $5 cocktails include the Hillsboro Mule, Stiegel Margarita, Bonito Mojito, a Bellini and an Easy Breezy. Domestic drafts of the Miller/Bud ilk are $3, and you can buy glasses of house wine for $5 or the whole bottle for $14.50.
The food specials include mix-and-match tacos and carnitas or $6 bites from a list that includes guacamole, mini burgers and coconut tenders. If you want to get happy while eating a salad, well, you’re a better person than I am, but enjoy your choice of a Bibb, goat cheese, Caesar or wedge salad for just four bucks.
You know you don’t want to fight Green Hills traffic anyway, right? Just pull over and spread a little happiness at GHG instead.
