While many local establishments and neighborhoods have their own Oktoberfest events planned over the next month, there’s no place with a more authentic beer hall environment than Bavarian Bierhaus in Opry Mills mall. If you really want to feel like you’re raising a stein in a setting that feels like a trip to Munich, turn off your brain while you walk through the mall (a pretty easy thing to do) and wake yourself up again when you enter the cavernous dining area at the Bierhaus.
For most of a month, from Sept. 27 through Oct. 25, they’ll be tapping special kegs each Friday at 8 p.m. to celebrate the special season of beer and fellowship. These will all be festbiers from different breweries, so you’ll want to come back again to see what’s new. Here’s their tapping schedule:
Sept. 27 — Urban Chestnut
Oct. 4 — Pfungstädter
Oct. 11 — Paulaner
Oct. 18 — Spaten
Oct. 25 — Hofbräu
All month Bavarian Bierhaus will also feature live music, all sorts of contests including their popular Masskrugstemmen (stein-holding) competition Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. to celebrate the end of Oktoberfest season, plus beer and food specials. Prost!
