The East Nashville commercial building that accommodated the recently closed Portland Brew has been listed for sale for $1.7 million.
Portland Brew Building LLC owns the property, having acquired it in 2005 for $275,000, according to Metro records. It is unclear if the LLC was affiliated with the cafe ownership, and Scene sister publication the Nashville Post was unable to identify the property owner.
The address of the two-story building, which sits on a 0.03-acre site and offers about 1,890 square feet, is 1921 Eastland Ave.
Portland Brew opened in 2005 — at the time of the unveiling of the East Nashville building — and closed in early March after a 20-year run. Previously, the 12South Portland Brew location closed in August 2024 after operating at the spot for more than 20 years. The coffee shop business got its start on Nashville’s West Side, operating in a small building located on Murphy Road near Sylvan Park (in the space that now houses Dose).
The owner of the Eastland Avenue building has enlisted Pat Howell, broker with Nashville-based C.A. Howell and Company, to handle the marketing of the property.
