City House Yard Party

If you’re looking for something to do before wading into the crowds downtown for the gala fireworks celebration on July 4, I suggest dropping by City House for a fun backyard party to benefit The Nashville Food Project. Chef Tandy Wilson and team will join forces with the poultry pros at SS Gai for an afternoon of food, fun and music from noon until 3 p.m. at 1222 Fourth Ave. N.

The menu will revolve around grilled chicken along with beers from Bearded Iris, cocktails courtesy of Cathead Vodka and nonalcoholic options as well. A live DJ will provide the background music to keep it festive, and a raffle will offer prizes like swag from Yeti and special access to some of your favorite restaurants.

Proceeds will help The Nashville Food Project in their efforts to alleviate hunger and cultivate community in the city. Tickets are available at the City House website, and your $50 admission entitles you to lunch and two drink tickets. So why not spend some time with a bunch of cool people before spending the rest of the night with a bunch of really hot people?
