Nashville has more themed holiday pop-up bars this year than you own ugly sweaters. This is the second in our 12 Days of Christmas Pop-Ups series, designed to help you find more holiday bling for your buck.
Whether you are in search of the “hap-hap-happiest Christmas” or you tend to be more of a “I don’t know what to say, but it’s Christmas, and we’re all in misery” type, you can get what you’re looking for with the Griswold family at Schulman’s Neighborhood Bar. The East Nashville spot is always dark and cozy inside, with lots of fun, colored lights from vintage beer signs. But even just driving down Porter Road, you’ll see National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation taught them everything they know about exterior illumination. Stop by all month for a boozy eggnog, spiked hot apple cider and prime rib dip (with horseradish aioli), which is a nice twist on the regular menu’s pastrami sandwich.
