Black-Crowe

The Black Crowes bring their Southern Hospitality Tour to Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Thursday night, and it’s a bit of a homecoming for Chris and Rich Robinson. Nashville — and specifically producer Jay Joyce’s Neon Cross Studios — is where the brothers got their mojo back with the brilliant 2024 album Happiness Bastards, which was their first album of new material since 2009. The album earned the legends of Southern rock a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album in 2025. They returned to Music City last year to work with Joyce again, and the result is their incendiary new record A Pound of Feathers, which was released in March and is arguably even better. Chris says the two recent albums recorded in Nashville “might be the two most consistently strong records we’ve ever made back to back.” Thursday’s concert is the third stop on a 40-plus-city tour whose bill includes Texas rockers Whiskey Myers and Oklahoma country-rock band Southall. Fans can expect to hear material from Happiness Bastards and A Pound of Feathers, as well as favorites and deep cuts from The Black Crowes’ eight earlier studio albums. In addition to the Robinsons, the band’s current lineup includes bassist Mark “Muddy” Dutton, keyboardist Erik Deutsch, guitarist Nico Bereciartua and drummer Cully Symington.
