Everybody misses Old Nashville, even if you didn’t live here during its heyday — which, depending on who you ask, occurred between five and 30 years ago. For those wistful for the Aughts, Liz Riggs’ debut novel Lo Fi will more than satisfy. This coming-of-age novel follows an aspiring songwriter who earns her keep working the door at an unnamed (but deeply familiar) venue. There are playlists, plenty of partying and prose so lyrical you’ll find yourself humming.
