The candy aisle of the bookstore has always been the magazine section, but the drastic decrease in bookstores means an even more drastic decrease in magazine availability. Luckily, a few local businesses are picking up the slack by carrying specialty mags, and Riverside Village’s Fond Object has become my go-to spot for ArtForum, Interview and Purple — plus, you know, records and shit.
