This summer, the Nashville Fashion Alliance — a nonprofit dedicated to building a sustainable regional fashion industry — surpassed a $100,000 Kickstarter goal, injecting the local economy with necessary funds and know-how to make the city a leader in the reshoring of the apparel production industry. The recent ribbon-cutting at Omega Apparel’s new Nashville facility, which will focus on small-batch production powered by a local workforce trained through Catholic Charities, is just the tip of the iceberg.
