The aptly named Pilates Garage, tucked around the corner from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams in the newish Hillsboro Village development Hill Center Acklen, is a tiny studio with six reformer machines and a garage door that opens to the street. In addition to getting laid-back but hands-on Pilates instruction, you’ll see about 200 people walk by, gorging on ice cream, while you bang out your hundreds and your leg circles. Yeah, they look kind of guilty, and your ass looks great.
