At one point during my visit with Ryan Nole, the artist behind
Kangaroo Press, I asked him if he'd ever considered exhibiting all his stuff. He gave a long, overwhelmed sigh, and said he wouldn't even know where to start.
He wasn't kidding. There's his collection of vintage soda signs, the Maurice Sendak books, the vintage stuffed animals, the ’80s arcade games. Not to mention, you know, actual printmaking stuff. I'm breaking this post into two parts, because there are too many shots to fit into one post. I considered cutting some photos out, but like Ryan, I didn't know where to start.
Here's part one of two Studio Visit posts on Ryan. Look for a second post here.
