Last week the Southern Poverty Law Center published its quarterly magazine Intelligence Report. This issue, titled "The Year in Hate," focuses on how "Nativist rage fuels rise in hate groups," a phenomenon that we reported on here.
The online version of the Intelligence Report article has this nifty map of hate groups throughout the U.S. Click on Tennessee and you'll see that the SPL has found 35 active hate groups—from white nationalists to black separatists—operating in our state. The icons on the map would be kinda' cute if they weren't so, well, hateful.
