One week after Memphis leaders worked through a legal loophole to get rid of two Confederate statues from downtown parks, someone in the Nashville area has chosen a more direct, albeit temporary, way to send the same message.
As commuters drove into work this morning after the long holiday weekend, they saw the big goofy statue of former Confederate general and Ku Klux Klan leader Nathan Bedford Forrest covered in a coat of reddish-pink paint. Honestly, we think it looks good on him.
Happy holidays, ya evil bastard.
