If you've been spending any of your time on this here blog lately, you know that local rock heroes The Features have a new record —

it's called Wilderness and D.P.R gave it a 4.5

. And if you've spent any time ever on this here blog, you know The Features are one of Nashville's most beloved indie-rock institutions. So seeing them on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night was, dare I say, worth sitting through a bunch of Jimmy Kimmel. Lucky for those of you spending time right now on this here blog, you can skip Kimmel's smirky, interrupting-dog interview shtick and go directly to the rock — Dabbs, Bond, Haas and Pelham going to town and freaking the psych out on "Golden Comb." As an added bonus, you get to see a Grimey's shirt on national TV. Incidentally, The Features play

the Cream birthday party

at Third Man on Aug. 20, and you can grab an album-version

MP3 of "Golden Comb" here

.
