Bully's Feels Like is an outstanding debut — hell, it'd be an outstanding record to come anywhere in a band's catalog, doing the hard work of balancing real-life questions and concerns while staying fully committed to its rocket-sled ride of riffs and hooks.
If you haven't seen the band live, your next chance to do so in Nashville is Jan. 22 at The Basement East. But while you wait, check out the footage from Bully's October visit to venerable Seattle radio station KEXP. Between ripping performances of "Brainfreeze," "Trying," "Picture" and "Trash," frontwoman Alicia Bognanno talks to host Kevin Cole about how she got interested in engineering, made her way to MTSU, interned with Steve Albini and got started playing in bands and writing music that eventually morphed into Bully.
