A live music venue is planned for The Arcade. Managers of The Show Stop have requested permits to continue build out of the space.
The new owners of the historic space want to help bring tourists and locals alike back to the downtown location
Singer-songwriter Daniel Walker, who was previously affiliated with Dee's Country Cocktail Lounge in Madison, is the founder of the business. According to the company website, Walker projects $1.45 million in revenue in the business's first year of operation with an initial investment of $1.4 million.
The Show Stop will be located at 217 Arcade Alley, a building previously occupied by Back Alley Diner, which closed in 2018. The venue will offer a restaurant and bar including a mezzanine seating area, according to a Metro permit request. The space offers 3,900 square feet and will seat 100.
Scene sister publication the Nashville Post was unable to determine the opening date.
Locals are squarely in the middle of The Arcade bar’s target demographic
City Now Next first reported the news in October 2023, with the venue space having been slated for completion in 2024 at that time.
The Show Stop is one of at least two live music venues planned for The Arcade, which has undergone extensive renovation in the past several years. Buddy's, a concept being referred to as a "tiny-tonk" by its owners, is planned for 900 square feet in the complex. The owners of Urban Cowboy also recently opened a bar in The Arcade.
In addition, clothing store Faherty and hat store Flea Style have each planned their second Nashville locations for The Arcade.
