With tours canceled and venues shuttered temporarily as we attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19, musicians are doing their best to adapt. In addition to providing ways to buy albums and other merch (available from local record stores, too), many have also organized livestream concerts or even recurring series from their homes. Some are accepting tips to help offset lost income for themselves or their bands, and others are collecting funds for other worthy causes.
Below, we've compiled a list of livestream concerts featuring Nashville musicians — both one-time shows and recurring events — through Monday, Aug. 24. We'll update it as often as possible, but always keep an eye on your favorite musicians' and venues' social media for the latest info.
A few important links:Â
Billboard has assembled a running list of organizations offering assistance to musicians who are out of work. Included are national-level nonprofits like The Recording Academy'sÂ
MusiCares and the Nashville-basedÂ
Music Health Alliance, as well as organizations listed by state, including theÂ
American Federation of Musicians union local 257. If you need assistance or would like information on how to donate, click through for more details.
We've also been keeping a running list of local venues that have established community funds for displaced staffers and business expenses. If you want to tip a local service industry worker as you stream at home, the serviceindustry.tips platform has you covered with a way to tip an individual at random via their online-pay app of choice — here's the Nashville tip link.
