J. Cole Is Headed to Music City

If you're among the listeners who helped J. Cole have a jaw-dropping run with the debut of his new album K.O.D. on April 20, here's some news you'll be stoked on. The North Carolina-born MC has announced his tour, which will include a stop in Music City this fall.

Young Thug will appear in support when Cole lands at Bridgestone Arena on Sept. 17. Tickets will run $49.50-$149.50 and go on sale 10 a.m. this Saturday, May 12, right here.

The last time we saw Cole in the Midstate was at Bonnaroo 2016, where he appeared (with an assist from Chance the Rapper) just after his LP 2014 Forest Hills Drive had gone double platinum. He's coming back with K.O.D., a record that addresses the pain people try to escape in ways that sometimes end up inflicting more pain. The message clearly resonates — it posted an impressive debut chart run that was just eclipsed by Beerbongs & Bentleys, the new album from Post Malone (who happens to play Municipal Auditorium tonight).
