JEFF the Brotherhood Shreds at the Bicentennial Mall, Gets Weird With 'Melting Place' [Fresh Vid]

The Tennessee Amphitheater at downtown Nashville's own Bicentennial Mall is a fine place to see some family-friendly entertainment — historical re-enactments, perhaps, or a free concert from the Nashville Symphony. Or, you know, a partially shirtless JEFF the Brotherhood ripping through a heavy psych jam. That's exactly what we're getting with JEFF's brand-new video for "Melting Place" from this year's Wasted on the Dream.

The Lina Plioplyte-directed clip — which debuted today via The AV Club and is embedded above — features not only footage of brothers Jake and Jamin Orrall and their bandmates daytime shredding at the Bi-Mall, but also shots of the Orralls wandering around in a pasture and chilling with a cow. There's also some cosmic imagery and lightning bolts and fire. You know, the sorts of things you might expect in a video for a song that sounds like a sludge-pop combo of Sabbath, Weezer and Hawkwind.
