What it is: Sour Patch Kids Candy Sauce

What it tastes like: I've been living a lie. For more than a year now I've accepted my place in life — a sad, unfulfilled place where Sweet CeCe's was my only frozen yogurt option in Nashville. But I was wrong! There is more out there! And this weekend I learned the error of my ways by stumbling into Yogurt Mountain, the frozen yogurt shop in Bellevue with even more flavor options than Sweet CeCe's and a far-superior toppings bar. They have mochi balls, caramel wafers and so many gummy candies. They have both Cocoa Puffs and Cocoa Pebbles because they know texture is sometimes very important when crafting the best cup of frozen yogurt. They even have those little s'mores bits that come with candy-coated dehydrated marshmallows! I LOVE those candy-coated marshmallows!
There are more than 50 toppings in all, and the pièce de résistance, the very reason I have written off CeCe's forever, is the topping that sits at the end of the toppings bar, among the Nutella, whipped cream and chocolate sauce: the Sour Patch Kids Candy Sauce, a tart, bright-red liquid candy concoction that I've never seen before.
It's like covering your frozen yogurt in an extra-condensed sour cherry sauce. It perfectly complements the creamy, cool yogurt. It desweetens the pound of gummy candy and Fruity Pebbles without brutalizing your mouth like Warheads or getting hard and inedible like actual Sour Patch Kids. It's a frozen yogurt toppings bar game changer, and I want to slather it on everything.
I want to swirl it into buttercream and put it on a cake. I want to stir it into soda water and drink it. It's the most perfect topping in the world, and I regret every cup of frozen yogurt I've eaten without it.
