Lucky Bamboo Plans to Open Thanksgiving Day With Dim Sum

An update on the new Lucky Bamboo. As

Bites reported

earlier this week, the owners of Chinatown in Green Hills have taken over the dormant Lucky Bamboo space on Charlotte Pike and plan to reopen it, with a menu of "Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine" and dim sum service. The target for opening was sometime in December.

Now we hear the team plans to actually be open this Thursday, Nov. 28, Thanksgiving Day. Hours that day will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. It's not yet clear whether this will kick off a full launch for the restaurant, but Bites will keep you posted.

The news of the new ownership at Lucky Bamboo has stirred cautious optimism among restaurant watchers, since Chinatown has gotten generally positive reviews (including in the Scene) since an overhaul last year. Nashville is notoriously underserved when it comes to Chinese food and dim sum.

The new Lucky Bamboo touts itself in ads as "your hot pot and dim sum HQ" and promises extensive banquet facilities for up to 300 people.

Lucky Bamboo is located at 5855 Charlotte Pike, in the strip next to K&S Market.
