Every so often East Nashville resident and booster Jack Silverman arrives at my desk with a new menu, like a cat showing off a freshly snagged chipmunk. This time it was a concise card-stock menu from Far East Nashville Vietnamese restaurant.
East Nashville residents Aaron and Hang Rosburg rehabbed the old Kendall's Appliance building at 1016 Fatherland—at the corner of 11th—and opened for business Wednesday.
Everything on the one-page menu is under $10—with the exception of the ribeye—with Vietnamese specialties including pho, egg rolls and stir fry.
Vietnam native Hang is manning the kitchen with her sister, Hien. Far East serves lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday. For to-go orders, call 228-0991. A website is coming soon.
