TBW Crawfish Boil 2025

After last year’s pivot to a shrimp boil due to a diminished crawfish harvest, Tennessee Brew Works is happy to return to its annual tradition of a mudbug boil for 2025. Planned for March 1 and 2 at the brewery’s 809 Ewing St. location, the event will feature more than a ton of fresh Louisiana crawfish boiled with andouille sausage, corn and potatoes. To add a local touch and some extra flavor, the boiling pots will be filled with TBW’s Hippies & Cowboys IPA.

In addition to crawfish and fixings available for purchase by the basket, there will be Tennessee Brew Works beer, wines, ciders and cocktails on offer. Live music is scheduled throughout the weekend event, which will run from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on March 1 and 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on March 2.

Admission is free for this family-friendly event, and Tennessee Brew Works welcomes friendly dogs to accompany their owners. However, as with any event in Pietown, parking is extremely limited, so ridesharing is strongly encouraged. The event will be held rain-or-shine thanks to plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

TN Flavors 2025

On Tuesday, March 11, Tennessee Flavors returns for the 13th year to benefit the Nashville State Community College Foundation, which helps bridge the financial gaps for students attending the college. This year’s event should be particularly poignant following the unfortunate passing of Randy Rayburn, the namesake of the school’s Randy Rayburn School of Culinary Arts at Nashville State. Rayburn was a longtime supporter of the school and of culinary education in general.

It’s never been difficult to recruit restaurants, spirits and beer brands to participate in the tasting event, mainly because so many people respected Rayburn and depended on the school to send them trained culinarians for the workforce. In the first year after his passing, Tennessee Flavors will again feature some of your favorite restaurants serving up small bites to attendees.

Participants are still being added, but you can check out the current list here, which includes spots like Elliston Place Soda Shop, Deacon’s New South, Midtown Cafe, Margot Cafe and Bar, and Limo Peruvian Eatery. Tennessee Flavors will run from 6 until 8 p.m. at the school’s Southeast Campus in Antioch at 5248 Hickory Hollow Parkway. The event is 21 and up, so remember to bring your ID. Early-bird tickets are currently available for $75 at the event website.
