What started out as a Thanksgiving initiative has been extended through December as Party Fowl has decided to continue their program to raise funds and supplies for Working Dogs for Vets, the local charity that trains rescue dogs to become service animals for veterans. Through the end of the year, the hot chicken restaurant will collect cash donations and supplies from the organization’s wish list, and will donate $1 per every Yazoo Brewing Company beverage sold.
You can help out by stopping by the restaurant at 719 Eighth Ave. S. to drop off items that the organization needs for their young trainees: dog food, toys, service animal accessories, gift cards and more, or by making a monetary donation to Working Dogs for Vets. Donors will receive a voucher for a half-price appetizer in return for their generosity. Yazoo Brewing Company has also donated product to the restaurant so that $1 per beer sold can be donated to the organization.
During the first month of the promotion, Party Fowl raised more than $2,000 for Working Dogs for Vets and is looking forward to seeing that amount grow through the balance of the holiday season.
