ENBF 2024

With the demise of the beloved Winter Warmer, there’s not really much of a debate anymore about the best craft beer festival in town. In addition to the Winter Warmer, Rhizome Productions has organized the East Nashville Beer Festival since 2011. That means the ENBF is now 13 years old, so it’s time for a “Beer Mitzvah!”

Over the years, the festival has raised more than $225,000 to support several nonprofit organizations, including Ride for Reading, the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition and Oasis Bike Workshop, and offered more than a thousand different beers for tasting to festivalgoers. The ENBF has also showcased many local bands and food vendors for new fans visiting from around town and the region.

The 13th East Nashville Beer Fest, presented by M.L. Rose Craft Beer & Burgers, will take place again at East Park from noon until 5 p.m. Saturday, April 13. Attendees can expect dozens of local, regional and national craft breweries offering sips of their most interesting beers, along with the requisite food and music offerings. The 21+ event is always a highlight of the beer calendar, and early bird tickets are still available for $55 at the festival website until March 13.

Sip of History 2024

While it’s not quite old enough to adulthood, the annual Sip of History tasting event is returning for the ninth time on Saturday, April 6, from 2 to 5 p.m. Thanks to a partnership with the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, the festival will feature more than two-dozen tasting stations on the grounds of The Hermitage, featuring local and regional distilleries, wineries and breweries, along with live music, food, games and even activities just for pups at this dog-friendly event.

Tickets include access to all 1,120 acres of the historic site, including the restored garden area, walking paths and narrative historical markers to tell the complicated story of Andrew Jackson’s former home. If you’re not looking to do that much walking, just bring a blanket or some lawn chairs and kick back to the music of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sean Donovan in between visits to the tasting tables.

Tickets are $75 for Hermitage members and $85 for nonmembers. A portion of all sales will support the Andrew Jackson Foundation’s mission to preserve the home place of Andrew Jackson, create learning opportunities and inspire informed citizenship. Buy your tickets in advance at the event website.
