Maneet Chauhan Releases New Cookbook and Slates Three Local Signing Sessions

Maneet Chauhan

Maneet Chauhan has certainly kept herself busy during the pandemic. In addition to operating her local restaurants and filming television episodes from her home kitchen (where she acts as food stylist, camera operator, producer, director and talent), she found time to finish and release a new cookbook. Titled Chaat: Recipes from the Kitchens, Markets, and Railways of India, Chauhan’s second book concentrates on the category of Indian street foods, many of which she features at her West Nashville restaurant, Chaatable.

Co-written with Jody Eddy, the book is inspired by a cross-country train trip that Chauhan took across India, discovering local markets, ingredients and street vendors along the way. The chef also shares family stories and cultural commentary of her homeland.

She’ll be signing copies of the books at three of her restaurants this weekend for the book which retails for $32.50. If you’d like to stay after the signing to eat, reservations are encouraged and can be made by calling the restaurants or online through OpenTable. Here’s where Chauhan will be and when she’ll be there:
