Do you like free beer, civic responsibility and science?

Mayor John Cooper’s office announced the “Shot for a Beer, Shot for a Cup” campaign Friday. Under the program, folks can show their completed COVID-19 vaccination card at any of the participating businesses and get a free beer or coffee as the case may be. (Certain restrictions apply, like, ya know, being 21 in the case of the former.) Participating establishments include Dino's, Five Points Pizza, Hattie B's, Rosemary & Beauty Queen, Sinema, Yazoo and many more.
Cooper’s office says more businesses can be added over the next couple weeks, so keep checking to see if your favorite or most proximate cafe or watering hole gets on board. The shebang ends May 31.
