Tennessee Putting Classic flyer

Hopefully, you’ve recovered from all the fun we had at the Music City Food & Wine Festival over the weekend, because the next couple of weeks are also jam-packed with some great events. First on the docket is a hospitality event courtesy of Giving Kitchen to help educate local restaurant workers on the breadth of the organization’s services for the industry.

The Giving Kitchen Putting Classic will be held Tuesday, April 28, at The Putting Zone, an indoor golf facility at 3040 Sidco Drive. Vendors and sponsors are putting teams together for a putting tournament from 2 until 4 p.m., but after that anyone working in the hospitality industry is welcome to drop in for a brief presentation about Giving Kitchen followed by free putting, food, drink, a raffle and a 160-foot putting challenge. Come learn about this valuable assistance asset for the industry and have a little fun mingling with other folks who really understand what the hospitality life entails. They’ll provide everything from the putters and balls to the 19th hole.

The good folks at Music City Brew Hop still have memories of Augusta twinkling in their heads, so they’re throwing a golf-related brewery crawl on Sunday, May 3, that they are calling the 2026 Mini-Golf Masters. Register a team of four players for $140 to compete on nine custom mini-golf holes spread across three favorite local breweries: New Heights, Tennessee Brew Works and Jackalope. Teams will be assigned a starting brewery, but you can visit the breweries in whatever order you choose, because Music City Brew Hop will run its trolleys around the circuit of breweries — you can hop on and off at will.

You will want to be at Tennessee Brew Works between 1 and 5 p.m., because that’s when they’ll be hosting the awards ceremony and after-party, including a golf-themed costume contest. Between the prizes and a raffle, more than $1,000 in prizes will be at stake. So take your beta blockers, focus on your line, draw the putter back slowly and then toast your successes and failures with some great local craft beers.

La Fete Des Dames

The talented members of Les Dames d’Escoffier Nashville are always coming up with something new to help raise money for their support of women in the local hospitality industry. Their latest fun creation is the inaugural La Fête des Dames: Celebrating Women Who Feed Nashville on Saturday, May 2, from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Boiler Room at Neuhoff District.

The gala outdoor tasting event will feature bites from local chefs, sips from Nashville beverage pros and a dedicated dessert table featuring treats from pastry pros like Abigail Navis-Black of Henrietta Red, Triple Crown Bakery, Little Rad and Lisa Marie White. Among those signed up to provide the savory samples are Etch, International Market, Fishmonger, SS Gai, Babychan, Butcher and Bee, Henley, Noko, and Mama Yang and Daughter.

If that’s not enough to convince you to grab your tickets right away, how about some spirit and wine tastings from Belle Meade Bourbon and House of Mustaine, craft cocktails by Charmers and a selection of local brews from Jackalope Brewing Co.? DJ David Bermudez of Sparkle City Disco will provide entertainment, alongside a high-value silent auction featuring exclusive local experiences.

“Our mission is to give women what they need to succeed in a tough industry,” says Ellen Fort, LDEN fundraising co-chair. “Proceeds from La Fête des Dames directly support scholarships and micro grants that directly fund women in food, beverage and hospitality, helping them build sustainable careers and businesses in our community.” Over the years, LDEN has awarded nearly $100,000 in support across the Nashville food scene, and they hope to exponentially increase that amount with this inaugural event, and those to come in the future.

Tickets are $100 for general admission and $150 for VIP (includes early access and a curated gift). Buy your tickets here!
