In the wake of today's announcement about Mill Creek Brewery closing its doors for good comes more bad news for locals: Tenn Sixteen, which has served Nashvillians in the East Side's Five Points neighborhood for half a decade, is also closing down.
In a Facebook post on Monday, the Tenn Sixteen folks noted that its "owners have decided to shift their focus to other business opportunities." The full statement:
Farewell friends! It has been a blast but it is time to say goodbye. Thanks for supporting us and allowing us to serve you. The owners have decided to shift their focus to other business opportunities so we are closing the doors for good and everyone will move on to exciting new adventures. We are very grateful to all our wonderful employees and to you, our amazing customers. We will miss you. Until we meet again, be well and take care of each other. The restaurant, which opened in 2013, served Cajun-influenced dishes and included a second bar by the name of Smokey's Little Upstairs Bar. They also made a mean fried-green-tomato BLT (pictured).
