Fred-Minnick-Roadshow-Tennessee

There’s probably nobody working harder to popularize American whiskey than Louisville-based spirits expert Fred Minnick. His yearly ASCOT Awards have quickly risen to the top of American spirits competitions, and his hours-long livestreamed tastings to determine category and best-of-show winners are always epic and entertaining.

If you’d like to meet him and experience a true master at work, mark June 22 on your calendar for the Fred Minnick Distilled Roadshow at Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery at 1414 Clinton St. Minnick will showcase an octet of Tennessee’s best distilleries, including Nelson’s, Chattanooga Whiskey Co., Nashville Barrel Co., Big Machine Distilling Co. and others.

Beyond just a tasting (though there will be plenty of that going on), Minnick promises the Roadshow will feature conversations with the leaders of the distilleries, small bites and the chance to network with your fellow whiskey lovers.

This being Music City and all, Minnick has leveraged the many relationships he has developed through his many celebrity guests that appear on his music, sports and spirits podcast to arrange for some live music during the event. ACM Award winner Michael Ray and roots-rock artist Matt Koziol will perform.

Fred Minnick’s Distilled Roadshow will run from 6 until 10 p.m., and tickets are available at the event’s website. Proceeds will benefit Musicians On Call, a Nashville-based organization that brings the healing power of music to hospital patients through bedside performances by talented musician volunteers.
