Craft Whiskey Bar Four Blue Palms Slated for Downtown

A craft whiskey bar and tasting room is slated for Fifth Avenue, in the epicenter of the central business district.

Four Blue Palms, which is co-based in Austin and Nashville, will take a space at 219 Fifth Ave. N. for what is termed on a Metro permit Standard Proof Whiskey. That space was last occupied by Lola, an events service business that closed in the middle of last year.

The Four Blue Palms website notes that its team has experience in “innovating, producing and marketing” food and beverage brands. The company offers a whiskey portfolio and a craft cocktail mix brand.

A Four Blue Palms official emailed the Scene's sister publication, the Nashville Post, that details are forthcoming.

The company in 2015 launched its Barsmith product line, with the concoctions complementing both simple and complex cocktails, the website notes. The company's Standard Proof Whiskey Co. creates a rye whiskey "aged in new American oak barrels, bottled at 80 proof and infused with natural ingredients."

Last summer, Four Blue Palms executives announced they had purchased Cocktail Rx from Desert Pepper Trading Company/El Paso Chile Co.
