This story would have been perfect for Bites’ erstwhile queen of sweet treats — former Scene culture editor Megan Seling — but since she’s now focusing on her own new projects, I guess I’ll have to share this toothsome news. Nashville faves Christie Cookie Co. and Goo Goo Cluster have come together for a pair of special collaborative treats that will be available in their respective local stores until the sugar rush of Halloween is over on Oct. 31.
In a mash-up reminiscent of the old Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup ads, each company’s culinary staff has developed a new confection that employs both the buttery chocolate-chip cookies made famous by Christie Hauck and the nutty, nougaty clusters that have made Goo Goo famous for more than a century.
