Nashville has more themed holiday pop-up bars this year than Santa has gifts on his list. This is the fifth in our 12 Days of Christmas Pop-Ups series, designed to help you find more holiday bling for your buck.Â
I went to France in December 2022 and quickly discovered that most neighborhoods had their own outdoor Christmas markets, and most markets had vendors selling ooey, gooey slabs of raclette cheese melted over potatoes and onions. I ate my body weight in cheese. So when I saw there would be three different raclette offerings at the indoor Christkindlmarkt at TailGate Brewery in Germantown, I was there. The menu features specialty cocktails including a peppermint bushwhacker and glühwein (that’s hot, mulled wine to us), plus German beers from their Lager Projekt. The German(town) decor, which includes building facades that replicate a German town square (think: half-timber paneling) were made and installed by TailGate employees.
