It seems like more and more photogs are capturing every political action and important moment in the city, and that’s a beautiful thing. I love to see our city being covered as thoroughly as possible. But there’s a guy who you’ll find at almost every single political action in the city, ensuring there’s a record, and he’s been doing it for decades. Folks may not think they know him, but if you’ve been to any political event in town, you’ve likely seen him — with his camera hanging around his neck, sporting a long beard and ballcap, taking it all in. Al Levenson has been taking photos in the city for years, and he shows up whether there are five people marching or 5,000.
