The Theater Bug first introduced Stories_ as an original musical web series during the dark days of COVID. A thought-provoking project, it explored the lives of young people through “both their online ‘stories’ and the real-life stories that shape them.” This summer, the Bug reimagined the piece as a live performance, showcasing a slew of talented young artists, along with some wildly polished design elements courtesy of the creative wizards at MA2LA. More importantly, Stories_ managed to tap into the tough real-world concerns faced by today’s kids with grace, humor and sensitivity.
