The 25th anniversary of The Dusters’ arrival on the Rock Block is approaching, and if you remember all those wild nights at The Gold Rush—well, you’re probably one up on founding members Ken McMahan and L. David Barnette. Inspired somewhat by the Scene’s recent impromptu reunion of heavy-hitters from the ’80s Nashville rock scene, the blues rockers ride again at an early-evening show they hope will bring out even more of the City Without a Subway crowd. (You can Google it, youngsters.) Steve McMahan (guitar) and Nick Forchione (subbing for Jeffrey Perkins on drums) join Barnette and McMahan—still one of Nashville’s hottest blues-rock guitarists—for a night of red-meat rock that’s both rare and well done.
