For everyone who was impressed with last month's Tinney Contemporary exhibit and last year's Joint Pop-Up exhibits (and count the Scene among those impressed — we gave Joint the

Best Pop-Up Series

award in last year's Best of Nashville issue, and our critic Veronica Kavass

praised the Tinney show

, saying that Sherrick is "perhaps the only dealer in Nashville who can put together a gallery exhibition of this caliber,") your fall just got a lot sunnier. The lineup for the inaugural Sherrick and Paul exhibit was announced today.

RECOGNIZED ART DEALER AND ADVISOR SUSAN SHERRICK TO OPEN HER FIRST GALLERY IN NASHVILLE SHERRICK AND PAUL OPENS THIS NOVEMBER @ 438 HOUSTON STREET, NASHVILLE, TN

INAUGURAL SHOW TO INCLUDE WORK FROM HIROSHI SUGIMOTO, WILLIAM EGGLESTON, KATY GRANNAN, WENDY WHITE, VIVIAN MAIER, NICK GOSS AND SEVERAL OTHERS

Nashville, August 18—Buoyed by the overwhelming success and interest generated around her collaborative pop-up shows this past year, Susan Sherrick, one of art world’s fastest rising, young talents, will open Sherrick and Paul—her first permanent gallery—this fall in Nashville’s vibrant and creatively diverse Wedgewood Houston neighborhood.

With an international network of clients cultivated while serving as an art dealer, Sherrick will bring to Nashville artists and work usually seen by the public only in major galleries and museums in New York, Los Angeles and London. Presenting photography, paintings, drawings and other forms of fine art, Sherrick hopes to guide a new generation of collectors while at the same time curating exciting, forward-thinking shows that will keep Nashville's growing art community on the edge of its seats.

"I'm very excited about our artist programing," Sherrick enthusiastically elaborates. "Several of the artist's we will show have never been shown in Nashville or anywhere in the South. Sherrick and Paul is an addition to the growing gallery community, but we are also bringing something completely new that doesn't exist here: an established and international roster of artists."

The inaugural show will include work from Hiroshi Sugimoto, William Eggleston, Katy Grannan, Wendy White, Vivian Maier, Nick Goss and several others.

Sherrick began her career at The Harvard Art Museums and gained experience from there working with celebrated galleries in New York City including positions at David Zwirner and Marian Goodman. As a director of sales at Fraenkel Gallery in San Francisco and Howard Greenberg Gallery in New York City, she cultivated connections with artists and collectors. Additionally Sherrick worked as a private art advisor and host of pop up gallery shows including one featuring iconic photographers and emerging artist held in Nashville in 2013. Most recently Sherrick curated exhibits in New York City for Howard Greenberg Gallery as well as in Nashville for the Tinney Contemporary Gallery.

More details surrounding the inaugural installation to follow.
