Over the past four years, the Scene’s “Hey, Thanks” issue has become my favorite Thanksgiving tradition. Don’t get me wrong — I never tire of four-day weekends, The Last Waltz and my mom’s sweet potato casserole. But hearing from the Scene’s staff and contributing writers about which Nashville institutions they’re grateful for? It always puts me in the spirit of the season.
In this year’s installment, you’ll find our messages to school staff, child care providers and poll workers, as well as institutions old and new that make our city a unique one. Read along with us as we at the Scene look at Nashville and say, “Hey, thanks.” —D. PATRICK RODGERS, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
