Pups and Pints

Now that pandemic restrictions have eased up, you might be wondering who’s more in need of some socializing time — you or your dog. It’s a heartbreaker to make a beeline for your nearest happy hour when Max is whining at the door, wondering where you’re going without him. The Scene has a simple solution for you: Saturday evening’s Pups and Pints event at OneC1ty Park off Charlotte Avenue offers a full evening of activities for the paw-having, tail-wagging crowd, plus craft beers and cocktails for their humans. (Well, the 21-and-up set, anyway — it’s an all-ages affair.) The winners of the Scene’s Pet Contest will be among the VIP guests, who’ll be receiving prizes; you’ll be able to find some of the featured pet-supply vendors in the Bark Market, too. Also check out photo booths for pups and people, food trucks and bars with edibles and potables for purchase and a pop-up off-leash dog park organized by Invisible Fence. No pup? No problem! The Nashville Humane Association will have an on-site pet adoption center. Admission is free, but a portion of funds raised will be donated to Nashville Humane — a very worthy, very furry cause.
