Fat guy in a little car...in the South.
Oh, it's because the South is filled with poors. No, seriously, poor people eat high-calorie crap that makes them fat. Plus, there's all that awesome soul food. I can buy that. I've struggled with added padding around the midsection since I moved to Tennessee (a member of the top 5 fattest states, with obesity rates over 30 percent, according to Time).
Arnold's, Harper's, I do love thee.
Wait, it might not be the food, you say, Dr. David Bassett of the University of Tennessee? He says it's because we don't do much. Because you know, in the South, we love our cars. We don't walk to the bus or the train station. We shuttle ourselves. Ever notice we don't have sidewalks in this state? Of course, it's also just f@%#ing hot here in the summer, and walking sucks when it's hot. I like to avoid it, if possible. But it also makes you not fat. And Colorado doesn't have that many fat people.
Did we pick the wrong, sweaty region for skinny jeans. Time says yes.
