Nashville had its own magical brush with wizard rock when Harry and the Potters played here last year, and I think everyone involved can agree we've never really been the same since. But apparently that shit's been catching on for a while, and now there's like, 500 bands in the "genre" who write songs in response to J.K. Rowling's massively successful books.
Some of the "bigger names" in wizard rock, whatever that means, are heading this way to on July 20 to play Bongo Java. Cool points: Since you'd obviously want to actually read the series to get all the references, it's no surprise that most of these bands are big literacy advocates and donate a lot of what they make to charities supporting the same.
Dude, know who should open? Wizardz.
