Last week we shared with you

the exceptionally delightful feline-featuring music video for Self's brand-new single, "Runaway."

You see, Self — the project of indie-pop guru and MTSU alum made good Matt Mahaffey, who once again resides in Middle Tennessee after a long stint out West — has a brand-new EP by the name of Super Fake Nice, and in addition to unveiling kitty-riddled music vids, the band also just made their television debut. Last night, Mahaffey & Co. played Super Fake Nice's "Runaway" as well as "Lucid Anne" from 1995's Subliminal Plastic Motives on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

"I want you to keep an eye on the bass player for this band," says Kimmel in the clip you can see above, "because he's been named one of the hottest guys in rock music." You see what old J-Kim did there? Very clever. Watch Self perform "Runaway" above, and check out "Lucid Anne" after the jump. Self is back, baby, and it feels so right. Order Super Fake Nice right here.
