The Wine Chap, the shiny new wine-and-spirits boutique in the retail strip with Publix in Belle Meade, is expected to pop the cork next week. You might recognize the tony accent of proprietor Richard Payne, a native of London who logged a dozen years down the street at Nashville Wine & Spirits. Payne is putting the finishing touches on the gleaming, light-filled space, hoping to fling open the doors at the end of next week.
Located at 4322 Harding Pike, The Wine Chap will be open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
