Last night, The Basement East co-proprietors Mike "Grimey" Grimes and Dave Brown celebrated the opening of their new East Side venue with a 10-band bill including Chuck Mead, The Apache Relay, Sadler Vaden and more. St. Louis' own festival-circuit sorta-celeb

As noted by Scene managing editor D. Patrick Rodgers in his Critic's Pick, the Beast's opening-week haps will keep on rolling with 10 more bands tonight (Margo and the Pricetags, Kansas Bible Company, RI¢HIE, Cory Chisel and more), plus weekend performances from Alanna Royale, Natural Child and more.
