Whoa, hold on, wait a minute. I'm sure that whatever you're currently doing is of the utmost importance, but you're going to need to put that on hold for a moment and watch the brand-new, magnificent video from Self (often stylized as "sElf"). As it turns out, Self — that's the project of longtime Tennessean, Spongebath Records co-founder and occasional Beck collaborator Matt Mahaffey — will release an EP by the name of Super Fake Nice one week from today (pre-order that

), and we're getting a little taste of that in the form of a video for "Runaway."

As you can see above, the Ballard C. Boyd-directed clip for "Runaway" features a clowder of cats (yes, "clowder" is the actual, technical term for a big group of cats) doing things like cavorting and lounging and "playing drums" and walking in most glamorous fashion. The song itself is a bleeping, blooping, characteristically catchy dose of rad, mid-tempo synth pop — basically Mahaffey's wheelhouse.

"The song and video are obviously great," you say. "But what I really want to know is, can I get several GIFs of those beautiful cats?" The answer is of course yes. Get three of those (1, 2, 3) at Self's website.
