The remains of former house-show venue Glenn Danzig's House
A year ago — to the day, as a matter of fact — we pointed out that onetime local house-show spot Glenn Danzig's House was up for rent. (Quick primer for those unfamiliar: Danzig's served as a punk rock venue, headquarters for indie blog-slash-record label Nashville's Dead, and home of dearly departed ND founder Ben Todd. And no, the real Glenn Danzig never lived there.) Well, in keeping with this week's theme of lamenting once-great performance spaces that have been reduced to rubble (see our pictures of defunct shed Starwood Amphitheater here), have a look at the above photo. That picture, which was taken by Amy Rauch, shows all that remains of the recently demolished building once known as Glenn Danzig's House. Farewell, Danzig's.
After the jump, watch a Vice piece on Nashville that was filmed in part at Danzig's House.
