Watch Bobby Bare Sr. Adapt to New Nashville in 'Things Change' [Fresh Vid]

Bobby Bare tries his best to keep up with the changing times in the new video for "Things Change," the title track from his first full-length solo record since 2012's Darker Than Light.

The video shows Bare trading tape for a digital interface in the studio, showing off his trademark wry humor as he considers swapping his old friend Shel Silverstein's guitar for a fancy new one at Sam Ash and shooting a video in front of a green screen as a high-rise rockets upward behind him on Music Row. That last one might hit too close to home for some Nashville natives.

The 10-song album is out May 26. Besides the titular track, the record also includes a duet with Chris Stapleton on Bare's classic hit "Detroit City," plus songs by Guy Clark, Mary Gauthier and Max T. Barnes. Things Change is available for preorder now via Bare's website.

Bare will play the Nashville Boogie Weekender's after-party at the Grand Ole Opry House on May 21 (grab tickets here), as well as on the Grand Ole Opry on May 27 (tickets are here), after which he'll sign copies of Things Change.
