"Fragment" directed, shot and edited by Dylan Carver is taken from Destino by Champagne SuperChillin' out on Soft Junk Records.
A few months back, Champagne Superchillin' — a trio comprised of Juliette Schultz, Fly Golden Eagle's Ben Trimble and Clear Plastic Masks' Charles Garmendia — introduced themselves and their debut LP Destino! via a Jodorowsky-esque video that painted them as "psychedelic sonic winemakers." Said album was released in September via Soft Junk (stream the record via Spotify).Â
Perhaps you recall the pre-release track "Fragment," which is a bit of a funky yé-yé party, if you will. The trio has released a delightfully strange music video for the tune, directed by Dylan Carver, in which they enjoy a bit of that wine they were working on. Above, watch them take what they described to Gold Flake Paint (who premiered the vid) as "a French rodeo limo ride around Nashville," which makes me think of this ABBA album cover. (And in case you missed it, peep the video for album-closer "Mon Loup," shot on the set of an NYC cable access TV show called Eternity Now.)
